why do you think the elderly are more likely to fall victim to lottery and prize-promotion schemes?
Nick asked:

Most elderly live on a fixed income and have a really hard time getting by. When someone offers a get rich quick scheme it’s too good for them to pass up. And the fact that they probably aren’t up on the internet and things as much as younger adults and children even.

Because they don’t always understand things. They also are very trusting and believe things they are told. Some get things messed up in their minds. They don’t get all the facts straight. Some don’t follow news and things going on outside their small world. They are very vulnerable and people have learned they can prey on them.
