How do you tell if an apartment is for elderly people?

QA asked:

There is one apartment I am interested in. A couple people I know say that they think it is for elderly people though. But when I drive by there is not a sign or anything that says it is. When I called the answering machine it said that if it was an emergency not to leave a message. This makes me think that maybe the place is for elderly people. I know I had the right number because the machine did confirm what place I was reaching. What do you think?

Call the property manager or the owner. If all else fails, knock on doors.
