Why women find it hard to accept aging?
Cliffather asked:
I am trying to understand it but I don’t at the moment. From age deception, make-up, to chemicals injected into the skin, what is wrong with aging? Is Society hard on women who are no longer young? BTW: I am in my thirties but often mistaken for my late twenties.

I am a woman who happens to have a baby face, and look younger because if it. I would love to be taken seriously once in a while.. in other words, at least look my age for once. Not all women are trying to look younger.

Probably because of the entertainment industry, older actresses, even just in their early 40’s are delegated to Mom roles. If they are even able to get jobs. Also, we have men leaving us for newer, younger models, so we are desperately fighting off aging.

Why do some men go after women who are much younger then they are?
I feel that men put the pressure on women to look younger, thin and in great shape. Not every woman can be a **** star, playmate, or stripper.

I will tell you why, because of our society, the media puts pressure on women to look and act a certain way, from skinny young looking hollywood actresses, to beauty and fashion magazines that have models slathered in makeup that look like they are 14 years old, to popular music videos that have young beautiful women in them. you don’t see a lot of average looking women who are over their 40’s having too much success in the music industry. our society makes the mold this is attractive, that is not and we as women already have cruddy self esteem like we need the media telling us how we should look. the impression I get from Hollyowood is if you are skinny, covered in makeup, scantily dressed and look like you are under 23 you are attractive. unfortunately some males buy into this too. I however am comfortable with aging an I have an appreciation of what real beauty is.

There is an old saying ‘ When men age they get character and wisdom, when a woman ages its from being to involved in others lives.’ It’s a man thing, and society on this continent can not forgive a woman for doing the same thing as a man, and probably do it better. Men like to control, and some women don’t like to be controlled.Yet when a man is in a stressful situations the first thing he says is ‘Mom, where are you MOM.’ ‘I love you MOM.’ ‘Behind every good man is a woman making sure he makes the right decision.’ Ageing is a fact of life and so many can not face the fact that they are getting older, They are wiser and better for it but never the less age creeps up on us all.

Yes society is a factor.. you often see young beautiful women off with some older man.. sometimes much older.. enough to be her father.. and you dont see that happen as much with women… aging with grace is beautiful and white hair is a sign of wisdom and experience
not everyone feels that way—-
women who struggle with aging are superficial and find their sense of worth from their appearance which is very sad..but its the truth
