I have been researching Obama’s “Health Care Reform Bill” quite extensively lately. I have read and heard several news articles regarding this issue, however most were from Blogs or websites Obama supporters would call Right Wing Conservative Extremists (or whatever else they are calling Rush, Savage, Malsberg, etc. today). So when I found this article today, posted on CNS’s website a respected, unbiased news source, I felt I could finally bring up the question in here without ridicule by people refusing to see what is in front of them.

Obama’s new Health Care Reform Bill that he is trying to rush into effect before the American people realize all of what is included in it, will take away our right, as parents, to choose whether or not to vaccinate our children or choose an alternative vaccine schedule if we deem appropriate. I find this inexcusable!!! I realize that many of you probably just follow the AAP’s immunization schedule anyway, but that is not the point. If the government is going to regulate this medical decision for our children, what’s next? Personally I am having my daughter vaccinated, but on an alternative and selective schedule because I believe that injecting a 2 month old with 7 different types of virus antibodies (many of which contain extremely controversial ingredients like aborted fetal tissue, cow’s brain tissue, aluminum, etc. etc. etc. ) at one time is just ridiculous and potentially very harmful on many different levels… and some of the vaccines like Varicella, are just plain unnecessary). I don’t mean to preach. By this time most of you have already made up your minds about whether or not to vaccinate and I respect everyone’s decisions. I just want my government to respect my decisions for my daughter too.

How do you feel about the government forcing vaccinations on your child? Would you submit or would you hold them off with whatever means necessary to protect your right to make your own choices for your child? (And for those of you who think this article is over-exaggerated, it’s not. It is straight out of the bill Obama is trying so hard to push through before August!) There are quite a few other extremely disturbing liberties that will be taken from us and put in the hands of the government (especially regarding elder care) as well but that is a whole other issue. I just want to focus on this part about our children and our rights as parents to raise them as we see fit. Please give me your thoughts, Anti or pro Obama, I am just interested in your thought pertaining to this issue; the loss of freedom to choose what is medically right for your child. Thanks so much in advance!
DYOT, I don’t know what your problem is This is almost as f***ed up as the time you posted that thing going on about how poor minorities should stop breeding. You’re a whack job. That’s cool; everybody has to have their niche.
Either you have me confused with someone else or I think you may be the whack job. I would never say something like that. I may say that people who can not afford the children they already have should not try to have more. But to me that’s just common sense. If you are doing your own thinking that’s right. You are the only person who thinks that way! You have been rude to me from day one. Have I ever done or said anything to offend you or are you just an unnecessarily rude person?
And BTW, it’s sheep like you that are going to be the downfall of our great country!
…question before jumping to conclusions, it clearly states that I do vaccinate, just in a selective and alternate schedule to what the AAP recommends. The point is, every parent should have the choice, not the government!
God Bless our Troops – Sure, CNS may not be as well known or ahem… “reputable” to some people because it is not on prime time media but they are not funded through federal tax money to conduct its operations, unlike your probable favorite NPR and PBS. Of course you couldn’t find the information on one of you “reputable” sources because the media is as liberal as they come! Please! Give me a break. As far as you guys see it, if it’s not in your morning newscast, then it doesn’t exist. Maybe you should do some real research for a change.
Now, I respect other opinions but you are discounting my source merely because it is not a major, prime time news source.
As for “2ndly, vaccinations are mandatory in order for a child to attend public school.” This is inaccurate. Each state has its own set of laws (at present) however the new bill does allocate special funds to “encourage” all school systems to enforce mandatory vaccinations for all attending children. O’s Mommy - Does that mean Obama’s mommy? Are you that blind that you can’t put the pieces together? I don’t intend to be rude but honestly, with everything that has been going on with Obama, it’s time you hard core supporters just start admitting it was a mistake. Even my mother came over to the right side - and it takes her forever to admit she was wrong - if ever!
