Senior citizens or older adults, how do you feel about Generation Y and our obsession with technology?

Is it annoying? I find myself annoyed with myself and how much time I spend on the computer each day. Is it crazy how much has changed from back in the day?

    its overboard sometimes. Do things with real live friends…I had to share the phone with 4 other ppl till 18.

    I think that there are many retired people who spend a lot of time on the computer too.

    I like that this generation is so comfortable with technology but it saddens me to see young people so into their gadgets that they miss what’s going on around them. They miss meeting and talking to people when they’re in line. They miss seeing new people on campus because they’re texting. They don’t realize a simple risky photo of themselves can be transferred to thousands of people within seconds. Of course the person they are sending the pic to has promised they will never share it but how often is that promise broken?
