no we all hear the same noises but younger people are more sensitive to the high pitched sounds and are more likely going to pay some attention to it

I find that as I age my eyesight diminishes, that my hearing gets more accute by the day. I can hear things that most other people cannot until bring it to their attention. I also have exceptional sensitivity to smell. Natural gas never gets by me unnoticed! The Gas Company has never failed to thank me for calling them when I encounter a leak in one of their lines!

The lower pitched sounds aren’t the problem. Its usually the high pitched sounds. However, I still find the earth shaking bass in cars annoying.

Yep. I hear thing younger people don’t hear. I think many of them are destroying their hearing these days with their music amped up to the outer limits.

Women can hear sounds men arent able to. Higher pitched tones for example. Like everything else hearing is an individuals thing, and it isnt the same for everyone of the same age, gender etc.

A problem a lot of people have is they can hear just fine, its the actual listening they have problems with.

You can test your high frequency hearing on this ringtone webside. If you’re over 20 years old, you probably won’t be able to hear the highest pitched tones

Apparently I hear up to the 19.9 Hz at 50 y.o.
But it’s the lower bass tones that drive my insane. If they are really low, I can’t heard them but I feel the beat with in my torso.

I can be listening to music in my home. Then I notice something out of rhythm. If I turn down my music, 100% of the time it’s that darned inconsiderate drummer 3 houses down that I hear.
