Can I ask a question about Senior Citizens who eat out?

Miz D asked:

When you go out for a meal what type of restaurant is it? Fast food, all you can eat buffet, sit down restaurant meal … ???

I’ve noticed the pizza buffet where my grandson begs me to take him for lunch is always half full of Senior Citizens. Evidently pizza is very popular with the 60+ age group?

Never ever eat fast food. Cant eat enough to make an all you can eat buffet worth the price they charge. I prefer to to to small family owned restaurants. Love ethnic food of all varieties and like to try new and unusual dishes. I’m basically a gourmet cook so I’m awfully picky about where I eat.

we avoid pizza like the plague-coronary artery disease and heart probs run in both mine and my wifes genetic heritage.pizza will clog ur arteries in no time flat-all that cheese!we go to vegetarian or meditteranean/turkish places-lo in fat,hi in fiber.we do get the unsweet tea and fruit and walnut salad at mickey d’s,tho.subway is good,if u go veggie, leave off the cheese and mayo-there is a veggie burger pattie u can get there-maybe not at all subways, but ours offers it,its a soyburger.we have eaten like this me-5 years or so,my wife-since age 14.

Pizza is my fav food but it’s too expensive here in Julian. I frequented that Little Caesars deal w/ a large for $5- … sure miss that avenue today.

Don’t usually go to fast food places, if I go for a buffet it’s at a Chinese restaurant, reason for that being I know the food is fresh because it moves so fast there.
Otherwise, we go to regular restaurants for a sit down meal. My Nephew is the head chef at a local restaurant, it’s quite expensive so when we want a treat that’s where we head.

Don’t eat out much these days but did love to go to some local Mexican restaurants, Cici’s buffet, Waffle House, Denny’s, Golden Corral and some Chinese buffets. Occasionally will go with my friends to a Chinese restaurant that has lunch specials, sometimes to Taco Bell for a chalupa. Otherwise I save my money for travel because routine visits to restaurants cost quite a bit. I like pizza too, learned to make the thin-crust nearly as good as Pizza Huts, and about 1/3 the price of theirs.

We have a smoke house that is open 7am to 11pm and has a full menu and everything is homemade including desserts. It has a diningroom and drive thru, simple but clean. They have the best pulled pork around. Pizza gives me the *****

I rarely go out to eat anymore since I can’t afford it. If we have fast food or pizza, we bring it home. On the rare occasion we do go out, I like seafood, he likes steak, so it has to be a fairly good restaurant.

I hated it when we visited one of his relatives she took us out to a buffet place. If I have guests, I want to take them somewhere nice.

Eating pizza is fairly healthy compared to many other fast food restaurants that usually feature fried foods.

I like pizza too but it is not at the top of my food list. I love buffets and sit down meals. Fast food is also not high on my list but my 10 year old grandson loves pizza and burgers so I take him there sometimes. No matter where we go, he will order burgers if they have them. Poppy

We eat out a lot, if it’s lunch time then it’s a bar lunch in a local pub. If it’s dinner in the Evening then it’s usually one of the Highland Hotels, they have excellent menus and great service. We both **** the fast food places.

I prefer to sit and relax and let someone serve us. buffets are ok occasionally, and pizza is popular with any age I think.

,I like Indian Also like Chinese Buffet places, they are good value for money, maybe not quite the same quality as a proper Chinese restaurant, but about a third of the cost.
Only fast food I like ,is the very occasional bag of chips fish

We don’t eat out very often. But when I’m going to spend money for dinner I want to sit down and have someone wait on me.

I wouldn’t want to eat pizza every week but when I’m craving a pizza nothing else will do. So, about three times a year, I stop and pick up and extra large with all the trimmings. Yes, I want pineapple and hubby loves his anchovies.

It takes us two days to eat an extra large pizza. So when we’ve finished it, we’ve both had all the pizza we want for another few months.

Most franchise pizza palaces have coupon specials and lunch deals.
I think that makes it affordable for seniors.

RARELY do I visit a fast food place…and pizza is OK, but I see enough of that at work sponsored meetings to EVER want it in my leisure time! LOL

When eating out, I, my friends and/or my family always eat in sit down restaurants of all types. Japanese Hibachi; Thai; Italian; Steakhouses; Seafood

My 7 yr old step grandson told his dad one evening, Let’s go to Bob Evan’s. That’s where all the old people eat. lol Apparently the little guy likes senior citizens. We don’t eat out often, but do go to Applebee’s and a place called, Wick’s Pizza on occasion. Wick’s has the best lasagna and spaghetti not to mention their pizza.
