Are senior citizens above 65 years entitled to some sort of Social Security or State Pension benefits in US?
gosamrao asked:
I have heard that many seniors are getting monthly benefits even without working but do not know how to apply for my GranPa? Please advise.

The basic SSA benefit is based on working at least 10 years on covered jobs. How is it that your grandpa wasn’t working?
There is a disability amount if he was injured and had to stop working, it too has requirements.
3rd, if he is a widower, he may qualify for survivor benefits based on his wife’s earning history.
4th there is SSI and some states help with paying for medicare. This requires that he be truly destitute.
