How do I find these elderly and disabled people that need my help?
suesun asked:
I appreciate that Yahoo answers had found the best answer for my question about helping people in my neighborhood. Is there a agency that would have a list? What would be good resources to look for? There is a great need for this in my area. A few elderly and disabled people have died from homicidal violence because they are alone.

Local Social Services Dept.
Health Dept..
They may not give you personal info though, as there are Privacy Laws..
They could point you in the direction you want.
What if you posted in the paper, that you will sit/or be company for those that
need someone….
Consider your local church, the preacher/priest may help.

Where I live there is an organization called The Center for Independent Living, an organization that helps disabled people. You may want to call the Salvation Army or Red Cross they would also be able to point you in the right direction.
