does anyone know of any programs in rhode island that would help an elderly?

lady get emergency housing ?
she is 62 1/2 she was living in very cheap apartment but the house is being sold she needs to move out by the 1st of december but cant find rent she can afford she is on social security and doesn’t get much . she did apply for elderly housing but there is a 2 year wait
any (correct info ) would be grealty appreciated !
