How do you get wrinkles out of a suit withOUT going to the dry cleaners?
sharlene c asked:
I bought a suit today because I have an interview on Monday. The suit is wrinkled and the store wouldn’t steam it for me. I can’t find any dry cleaners that are open on Sundays (I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL - if you know of any, please let me know). Is there anyway I can press or get the wrinkles out of the suit myself?

Put it in a closed bathroom with the shower going and let the steam get the wrinkles out. Or, go to Target or Walmart and buy a Clothes Steamer…..it’s pretty inexpensive. You can also put a semi-thick towel over it and steam it with the iron filled with water (press the steam button). Good luck on your interview!

The store wouldn’t steam it for you cause they don’t have the tools to do it.
Use a steamer at home to remove the wrinkles or put it in a close bathroom with the hot shower going.
If you feel you need to iron it, just be careful and make sure you use a pressing cloth.

set it on a low heat setting, and you may have a thin cloth between the suit and iron itself. or, if you have a steam button on your iron, steam away!

invest in a good steamer at Walmart. read the label on the suit for the best way to treat it.

Take it into the bathroom and turn the shower with hot water,
hang the suit in the room and let it steam for about ten or fifteen minutes/ or put in there while you take your shower.
That should take the wrinkles out. P.S. Good Luck with your interview.

Even easier is to take a normal spray bottle and fill it with hot water. A little liquid fabric softener is good too if you got it. Spray the suit down on all side. Make sure to do it evenly on the fan setting. Hit all the wrinkle. Let is set for a moment they pull or stretch lightly on the fabric. With in a minute or two most all the wrinkles should be gone.
